This Thanksgiving weekend the Windansea Surf Club will be crossing the border to spend 3 days surfing with the Baja Surf Club who will be hosting us at their home break, San Miguel. This is the last coalition event of the year and an invitation has been extended to all the surf clubs up and down the coast.
Crossing the Border:
For those who would like to caravan, let's meet at 9:30 AM on Friday at the Starbucks located on the north side of the Las Americas Outlets next to Forever21, address below.
Starbucks
4201 Camino De La Plaza #102
San Ysidro, CA 92173
Everyone get insurance in advance and be ready to cross the border from there. Insurance can be purchased ahead of time on-line from providers like Bajabound.com
What about camping?
Surfers can camp in the San Miguel parking lot for $12/night!
And what about the Love?
Windansea would like all surfers to bring down surf gear like wetsuits, boards, and surf accessories to be presented Friday night to the Baja Surf Club. We will also be accepting donations for a local orphanage that would appreciate non-perishable un-opened food goods and gently used blankets and/or clothing.
We have so much to be thankful for - the ocean, our health, the beautiful place we live and our amazing extended surfing family that knows no borders. So let's enjoy some waves and the good company of our surfing amigos and not forget to show our love!
