Now with GOTT in the books, next up is Log Jam! with our Big Stick friends up north at Pleasure Point...
Logjam! is an " Old Boards, No Cords" retro surfboard contest that features pre-1970 vintage surfboards, weighing 20 lbs or more, single fins, that are surfed without the use of a leash. With an Aloha spirit, this event recreates the early years of California surfing before technology evolved boards and surfing to the current day. Categories include men, women, children, tandem, and paddleboard races in a two day event that gives all a chance to surf the designated World Surfing Reserve, Pleasure Point area of Santa Cruz.
Our friends at SurfAid will also be running their event so if you want to help out their great cause and volunteer or participate, contact Windansea member, Karl Luber.
